Cheap Ninja vs Expensive Ninja

I noticed Walmart has a 400W model for 29.00. QVC's are 49.00 for the 450W motor and 109.00 for the 700W motor. Is there any chance the 29.00 model would have the ability to break down carrots, etc to make smoothies? For me smoothies would be a novelty, not a daily item so I haven't sprung for the Vitamix or the bigger Ninjas. Are the blade systems on all the Ninjas the same?
