I ordered K314799, the Temptations glass container set with vented lids. The ORIGINAL, online product description stated the lids could be used in the microwave, and at the time there wasn't a video posted yet for the new item.
I ordered it anyways based on the description, and when it arrived, the product insert stated the lids could not be used in the microwave, so I gave a low score on my review and included a pic of the insert.
Now the product online description has been changed. It doesn't even mention the lids at all. In the video, Tara states to "flip the lid" to use in the microwave. She also demonstrates that the vent is meant for pushing all the air out to seal the container. I think changing the online description now is being deceitful by omitting information about the lids.
First, the lids will not stay on unless you use the vent to push the air out and seal the lids on. Second, every other product I have with a vent is meant to release steam in the microwave. Customers that do not watch the video will miss important info about the lids. 🤨

@LdyBugz I would have snail mailed a complaint letter to headquarters.......to bad you did not take a photo of the original description.

If it can't go in the microwave then what is the purpose of the vented lid?

@Mz iMac Yeah I wish I had a pic of the original description. Without that, I can't prove anything. That's why I decided to post something here so I could give a heads up at least.
In the grand scheme, sure you can flip the lid to use in the microwave. But unless you watch the video, you miss the point about its intended purpose.

Based on my experience with Temptations, a circus of being reimbursed for a defective product and multiple reports from others of baking dishes breaking in the oven, I am not surprised at your experience and will continue to avoid buying products sold by Temptations. Am sorry that you are experiencing this issue now.

@Q-Checker Wasn't there a class action suit against Temptations regarding their oven gloves not preventing burns? I have noticed David & other cooking folks are not wearing them any longer.

I did not know about the class action suit. I had bought the gloves for a Christmas gift for a friend and was grateful that the defect become public knowledge before I gifted a pair of these gloves. What unglued me the most is that Temptations did not notify those who had purchased the gloves (easily available info for QVC purchasers) or issue a recall on public media about the defect and and potential danger in using them. The return process was also unduly cumbersome. I now quickly scroll past anything sold by Temptations.

a RECALL......not a class action lawsuit that i know of.
