I have Hull brown drip dinnerware, bakeware, pitchers, etc. I have had them for many, many years with no problems. I also have fiestaware and I would recommend those as Hull can only be found on eBay, etc.

I think of it like this: Delicate and smooth like Lenox is porcelain; heavy and pottery-like is stoneware; and glazed and smooth is ceramic. If you like Stangl, Fiestaware and Louisville Stoneware, look in second hand shops, like consignment stores, Goodwill and antiques shops. I live near "Antiques Row" (Adamstown, Pa.) and I find Stangl for a song. Lately I've found odds and ends of Fiestaware at Goodwill. If you have the time to sort through junk, you can find treasures.
