Cauliflower Rice in the Pull and Chop

[ Edited ]

I've only been making cauliflower rice for about a year, and I usually bash it in a zip lock bag, or cut it by hand. Both methods take pretty long. I don't have a food processor because my kitchen is quite small, and I just don't have frequent need for it.

Today, I decided to use my Pull and Chop. It worked beautifully. It took me about 15 minutes to do a head of cauliflower, because I had to do it in about 4 or 5 batches. The "rice" was so even and not mushed up at all. Will do it this way  from now on. Highly recommend if you don't have a food processor, or if you don't want to get it out.

ETA: I'm chopping raw cauliflower, not cooked.

I've never heard of a pull and chop.  Is this an electrical appliance or a tool of some sort?

@Tinkrbl44  They come in many forms, but this is what I bought from QVC. It's made by Kuhn Rikon, and I've been using it for many years.

Kuhn Rikon Set of 2 2-Cup Pull Chops - K48049

I gave them to all my kids and friends. Unfortunately, I don't think they are available on QVC right now, but they will be I'm sure. Probably on Amazon.

Okay, this is embarrassing ... I must have Shopper's Amnesia!

I actually have TWO of these in boxes in my so-called "gift closet".  Never gave them as gifts or even tried one for the heck of it.

Probably bought them ten years ago ... or more!

@Tinkrbl44  Hahahahaha!

Well, now's your chance to try one. I use mine every week - even if it's just for a few cloves of garlic or an onion.

I run it through my Kitchen HQ Speed Grater & Slicer (HSN).

I, too use it frequently for small task. Last night made ham salad.
