Can one have too many baking pans?

I love to bake, but my kitchen is small so my baking pans have been scattered all over the place...some in the basement, some in the kitchen cabinets, even some in the garage. It's a real PITA to dig out the baking pans I need from the cabinets (I usually have to take everything out to find the one I want), so I decided to do something about it. I found a wonderful organizer in Aldi's - a set of six interlocking 16" cubes - and bought a couple, which I put behind the basement door, alongside the washer and dryer, where they fit perfectly and are out of the way. Then I started to go through my pans.

Well, with them being all over the place, I sometimes thought I didn't have a pan that I actually did, so I bought a new one. I discovered that I have 5 Bundt pans, 4 angel food pans, a big bunch of 9 X 13 pans, and lots of muffin pans. I rarely use the 8" or 9" round cake pans, so I don't have a lot of them...and some that still had the labels on were rusted. I had totally forgotten about the butterfly shaped pan, and the flower shaped pan; I found several boxes from QVC that had never been opened, and in them were pans that were on clearance (9 X 13 and square, so I got two sets), and some that I had forgotten I ever ordered. There are three sets of mini bundt pans, and one mini angel food (each makes 6 little cakes) - I don't know why I didn't buy two of each, rather than three and one.

Anyway, the pans are now neatly organized, pretty much by shape: Bundts and angel food, rectangular, squares, round and springform, muffin tins (both round and square), loaf pans, etc. To my surprise I have only one pie pan - a Pyrex one - unless I have a stash somewhere that I've forgotten about. {#emotions_dlg.confused1} I now have 9 of the cubes filled with baking pans, as well as a large storage box for oversized ones that I put at the foot of the basement stairs, in plain view. I did look for some pie pans on Amazon....and in the process found 15 different fancy Bundt pans that I'd like to get.

Some of the pans that I have too many of have been set aside for the thrift shop - some of the Bundts, and a few various ones that still have a lot of use in them, but sizes in which I have new, unused ones.

Does anyone else here share my love of baking pans, or am I the only one who's nuts? {#emotions_dlg.blink}
