Can Openers- I can't find one that opens cans!

I have purchased 4 can openers in the last couple of months- from $5.00 to $20.00. None of them open a can smoothly, quickly and easily. I wanted a turn key style opener instead of an electric. Does such a can opener exist? My old one was just so shabby looking, and I tossed it before buying a new one. I wish I would have kept it!
