@flbettyboop

I've always lived at the beach and I would've gone a large portion of my 64 years without any shoes at all, if it weren't for flip flops!

I still love the Jimmy Buffett song, 'Margaritaville':

"I blew out my flip flop,
Stepped on a pop top;
Cut my heel, had to cruise on back home.
But there's booze in the blender,
And soon it will render
That frozen concoction that helps me hang on."

I despise walking on rocks and shells. I have very sensitive soles and can't fathom walking on many beaches. The white sand beaches are only popular in the East Coast. Out west there are rocks. Also in Maine. Ive tended to avoid beaches in recent years for numerous health reasons.

Even as a child I didn't like the beach, you never knew what you were going to step in and I was terrified when the gulls would swoop down close to me.Seeing a dead gull floating in the sea close to shore would literally freak me out and still does just thinking about it. Give me the mountains with babbling brooks and streams and all the wildlife. All that being said, I'm glad you are calm at the beach and are enjoying yourself.
