On that pecan pie recipe by one box of lt. brown sugar do you mean like a 1lb. box of Domino? wonder how many cups that would be. I bought a 2lb. bag today.

One day I wondered the same thing, so I took a 1 pound box of brown sugar and measured it out in dry measuring cups. It equaled 2 cups packed. Make sure you level it off.

After baking let the pies cool completely before eating.

Gonna make them Sat. Only days I can eat sweets. I'm a recovering baby oinker just bake on Sat. then go back to starving on Mon. LOL

I just called my friend Brenda, who gave me the recipe. She makes,bakes the pies, cools them and freezes one in a gallon size Ziplock bag. When she wants a piece of pie she just cuts it, puts it on a plate and it thaws in no time. She then returns to pie to the freezer for another time. Good idea!!!

It's in the oven be done here in a few minutes. I upped the temp to 350`, I use a deep dish pie pan so it made enough for one. all we want anyway since only 2 of us. I'm kind of concerned doesn't call for syrup. We'll eat it around 11:00 and I'll report back.

those german choc cookies my sister suggested are delicious that you can buy at Walmart think Nestles makes them they're not very big I done ate 4 hahahahaha dark chocolate though only thing not crazy about but must not bother me to much.

I thought all along, you wanted a pecan pie with no corn syrup (Karo Syrup). The pie is really good, but I've never made it in a deep dish pie crust, hope it turns out. I like that it makes 2 regular pies, to share one with someone else.

I always like to make a recipe as given to me, then next time I go doctoring it up if I want.

Another friend tasted my Sweet Potato Pie and wanted the recipe. She made it and said it didn't taste like mine. I asked did you change the recipe. Yup she did, no wonder it didn't taste like mine, she added some other spices to it. Oh well!!
