Nope!  I didn't use anything else.  Used it the same way I would use Comet, Alax, or any similar product.  Just mentioned it so someone using it might want to try a test spot first and avoid kicking themselves like I did, and still do, every time I look at it.  Grrrr! :smileyfrustrated:

I guess maybe it depends on what kind of finish is on the drain trim.  My sink drain has been fine for the many years I've used Barkeeper's Friend.  But that bathtub drain - oy!  I had little flying gnats coming out of it, and read on Nextdoor.com that the answer was to pour something (maybe bleach?) down the drain and plug it up over night.  The next morning all of the silver was gone from the drain trim.  Bugs were gone, too, ha ha!

At least the bugs are gone! :smileyvery-happy:  Also, my house was bult in the late 1940's so maybe the chemical processes were different then.  Who knows?!
