Re: COSTCOS OR SAMS-WHICH ONE

For me it's Sam's because of the convenience. They're located about a mile away and they have covered parking.

Re: COSTCOS OR SAMS-WHICH ONE

We have both around the corner from each other. My preference is Costco. They treat their help better and it shows in service. Our Sams was recently remodeled so we joined once again to try it out. Not liking it all that much. I guess I got used to Costco.

I would prefer Costco but it's an hour drive and I don't think they're worth it. SAMs is 10 minutes away.

Costco. I just enjoy that experience better. Also known as a good company to work for. There's a new Sams close by. Husband bought a membership because he likes the tools, guy stuff there.

I LUV Costco - been shopping there for 19 yrs. Great products, low prices, excellent customer service. There's one 8 min. from my home. Between using their coupon booklets (which are mailed to my home every month) - and getting credits on purchases on my Costco AMEX card ---- the membership is FREE. Went there last Wednesday and spent $379. less $20 in coupons from their booklet.

Costco. I never cared for the other place. It just always seemed dirty to me.

Re: COSTCOS OR SAMS-WHICH ONE

I retain both memberships because the stores offer different products. What I can get at Sam's is not available at Costco, so the savings on those items pays for that membership.

Re: COSTCOS OR SAMS-WHICH ONE

I also have membership at both Costco and Sam's. I must admit Sam's is my go to place. The produce and fruit is better quality at Sam's. Plus the sizes of the container are better sizes at Sam's. At Costco the grapes were in 4 pound containers, at Sam's the grapes are in 2 pound containers. Two pound containers work so much better than 4 pounds for my family. The same with broccoli at Sam's you can buy a 2 pound bag - at Costco a 3 pound bag. Plus Sam's has such a big selection of fresh fruits and produce. You have a choice of 6-8 different types of apples at Sam's, then you go to Costco there are only 2 types of apples to pick from (I went last night).

In fact we are going to let the Costco membership lapse. The way people raved about Costco I must admit I have been disappointed.

Re: COSTCOS OR SAMS-WHICH ONE

Like a few of you I belong to the Big 3, Costco, BJ's and Sam's. I joined Costco back when it was Price Club(and they were geared more to the food service industry). Bj's when my kids were little had a better baby care selection, but BJ's isn't one of the choices. I like Costco's Kirkland brand products better and what now is their savings book you can buy multiple of a given item, Sam's "esavings" you can only get one of a given item at the reduced price. But with Sam's Advantage membership I can get in at 7am, where Costco is 10 and around the holidays that makes a difference. So it's really up to what you buy the most and who has what you like.
