@qualitygal @I’ve done all 3. 😊 Love this stuff. It’s really simple. Just cook tapioca balls to desired tenderness & soak in simple syrup. Add to your choice of tea.

Wow that’s what bubble tea is?  I always wondered. Thanks for the info.

@qualitygal

I buy the drink - bubbles are sweetened tapioca pearls

Coco is one of the chains that sells in my area -

My favs are Milk Tea w/bubbles

Coffee/Tea mixed w/bubbles

If I want something sweeter

Taro w/bubbles

I can go on and on

Bubbles are lightly sweetened chewy pearls - think gummy bears but NOT as chewy or sweet

Hmmmm....describes as something awful....does it really TASTE good?

Do you eat the pearls when the tea is finished?

I'm a tea / or coffee lover - neither one with sugar or sweetener.

Perhaps this is not for me.

Though it does look intriguiging.

@MoonieBaby When you use those huge straws, you will have the pearls in the drink.  So, you chew the pearls while you drink the tea.  It is pretty weird in the beginning when you first try it. But after a while, it is really fun to eat/drink.

Hi MomOfTwo2007 - thank you for urging me with the finer details...I might whip up a lil and try it - sounds like something my nephews would LOVE.

Everybody I know that tried it seems to love it.  I just can't get past the concept of finding pieces of stuff/tapioca in my beverage.  I guess I just like my beverages smooth & chunkless.

@Havarti

think of a milkshake with bits of chocolate chips, toffee, sprinkles etc

so this beverage comes with a wide mouth straw and the tapioca pearls go up the straw

depends on what you order - I have gotten a mango slushie with bits of mango

for anyone wanting to try - I would it buy from the cafe than making it at home

so many choices - and you don't always have to have it with bubbles

bubbles are an option not a requirement
