While looking for a holiday table runner, I found matching place mats and napkins. However the care instructions say "spot clean only". Does that sound as dumb as it sounds to me? Table napkins need to be laundered after using.

I agree that’s crazy I have no idea how you’d just “ spot clean “ napkins ? I’d want to wash them before use also

Re: Browsing for a table runner

@AuntG I have a few embroidered holiday table runners by Creative Linen's on amazon.   Many of them do offer matching napkins and placemats.  What I love about them is they can be washed in a garment bag on cold/gentle and they come out like new.  I just hang them on a drying rack and they barely wrinkle.  Just wanted to share.

I would google image table runners; there should be many on etsy as well.

There was an excellent catalog called "Linen Source" for linens of all types.

@AuntG   Sounds as if the company needs a better employee to proof their "use and care" diections.

Probably they intended that the runner had to be spot cleaned only.  Are the mats and runners embellished with jewels or glitter or raised, filled appliques?

Can't possibly mean not to launder napkins after use!

@aroc3435 they were here on the QVC site - from Martha Stewart. I liked them so much because they are perfect for winter, not just Christmas. I still owe my family a turkey dinner because I didn't make a Thanksgiving meal. I only need to set the table for eight. These would have been perfect for the first weekend in January.
