I received my order , M71039,  the Take and Bake Bread Sampler today. Wow that's a lot of bread !  I was surprised at the size of the loaves. I haven't tried them yet, and I hope they are as good as they look. You just can't get really good bread around here without traveling a distance, so I took a chance. Have any of you tried this bread ?

Speaking of bread, has anyone tried the Hawaiian bread & is it as good as it looks?  The rolls looks good to.

Re: Bread 🥖🥖

I threw away a loaf of Strawberry bread from Walmart. All those breads are dry . Raisin, Cinnamon, etc. cost 4 bucks and I toss in trash wouldn't give it to a rat.

Glad I can make my own.

@Mz iMac I haven't had the bread in the loaf shape yet but have been buying the rolls and larger diameter buns for many years and love them.  And it is not a "dry" item.  The rolls taste delicious even without putting butter on them.

The company's recipe for the bread from the 1950s is based on a traditional Portuguese sweet bread, which is usually baked in the round, which I first encountered in Rhode Island in the 1970s.

@aroc3435  Thanks.  I plan on getting the rolls this weekend.  If I like them, will get the loaf.

Yes, it is very good.  Quite different from plain bread, though.  Good for toast and sandwiches.

@QVCkitty1 - We absolutely love these! I'm on my second order. They're very convenient for us, because DH and I try not to eat a whole lot of bread. If I buy a regular loaf, I freeze half and no one wants it after that. So when I open one of these we all enjoy it. We haven't found one we don't like!  Smiley Happy

Re: Bread 🥖🥖

I found the Take it Bake It in my local grocery store...same brand, same packaging.

The long baquettes were buy one get the second half price (reg $3.89) and they had everything the sampler had.  Each regular and flavored loaf was $3.89.

Never paid much attention but ever since this post, I decided to buy some yesterday to try it.

Thanks for the heads up, it sounded so good but now I can just buy it locally.
