When you make hard boiled eggs, after the water boils, turn the heat off and let the pot sit on the burner for a while. This for some reason makes the shell peel right off. Learned this on the Food Network Channel.

Forgot to add that doing this method, you will not see a gray ring around the yolk either.

Steam them in a steamer basket just like veggies. After the water comes to a boil place the eggs in the basket. Replace lid and steam for ten minutes. Then remove eggs and crack each shell lightly and place in a bowl of iced water. Leave for a few minutes then peel. The peels come off so easily this way.

I run a little cool water in the pan so I can pick up the eggs while they're still very warm, hit the egg lightly on the counter or sink edge until the shell is cracked all over, then start at one end and peel under warm running water, the peel will usually come off in one or two pieces.

I learned this method years ago, can't remember where, really. I bring to boil, cover and let sit in for 15 mins. for hard boiled. I then pour off the hot water and run cold over the eggs in the pan, peel. It is very aggravating when they want peel! I am sure we've all had this happen at one time or other.

I never have a problem peeling eggs. All I do is remove them from the heat, then hold the pan under cold water until the eggs are cool enough to handle. The shell never fails to come off easily.

13 minutes, then remove them from the stove and put them under the cold water tap for three minutes, then into the FREEZER for10 minutes, then into the fridge until you use them.

I used to get frustrated with that problem some of the time. Then I got Mark Charles Missilli's egg cooker and I have no problems whatever now!
