Do any of you Marylanders have a place or places that you can recommend for ordering crabcakes? I would rather pay more and get the quality. TIA.

Here are a few good choices

G & M

Olive Grove

Pappas

Faidleys

a good list......i am also going to add michaels cafe and costas inn. you can also order steamed crabs from obryckis.

my mom is a big G&M fan,but i have heard lately that they are not as good as they used to be and a lot of her friends stopped going there.

If you're in the area you may want to check out Duesenberg's Great breakfast/brunch or Thai Amora in Ellicott City and the old stand by for crab cakes G & M's. Have a Great week and stay safe with all the ice, sleet and snow Marty Bass is calling for.

hi dew! nice to meet another neighbor.

thanks for the recommendations....i have not heard of duesenbergs or thai amora. the weather is supposed to be bad on thursday.....last i heard was possibly 6-9 inches and a record breaking low in the evening hours. my high schooler sure has been loving all of the bad weather. LOL

Dew and Sunshine, if you are interested in Md Weather updates, my DH is a meteorology expert, he even teaches classes in this at CCBC as an adjunct professor. You can find his reports by joining him on Facebook , just do a search for Geogjog.

Out of ALL the food vendors Bobby Chaz has the BEST items. I have an autistic son who LOVES his shrimp cakes as they do have a little kick! His smashburgers are the bomb!! I have not had a decent hamburger like his since my grandmother made them for me when I was a little girl. The flavor and meat just reminds me so much of my childhood burgers. The crabcakes are not supposed to be Maryland style. All I no is I hope they keep those shrimp cakes as my son is so picky and the burgers for me!!!! Its all a matter of taste!!!!

Arley

P.S. I tell everyone who wants to buy my son any kind of gift for my son to get the shrimp cakes!!!

No, Sun, his classes are for senior citizens enrichment only, non credited classes. He also teaches classes in MD geography, football and baseball history. I also know Foot's site, but give my hubby a try, he is fab!!! just a bit of trivia, my DH was runner up to Bob Turk for his job in 1973!!! They said they flipped a coin when they had to make their final decision.

Love Bobby Chez crabcakes! Received my order yesterday. Tonight I will sautee them and have coleslaw and baked potatoes as sides.

Hi Shelbelle and Sunshine went to Pappas in Cockesville this afternoon since we went to The Home & Garden Show today it worked out well. The show was fun (I'm so ready for Spring!) and Pappas was the perfect ending to a beautiful day. Smiley Happy I would give this Pappas 4 stars for servicefood.

Funny, my sister and my niece went there last nite for dinner, they said is was very good and very crowded. Said service could have been a little better, but most likely due to the large crowd. So glad you enjoyed the show too, friends of ours also went.
