Bottom line, please trust me, in no way are these 3 0z bits of a crab cake worth $9 a piece.

Hi, Dew, so nice to meet you, Sunshine45 and myself are fellow Baltimoreons too!! I have not been to this Pappas but heard good reports, we do like the original one, also Basta Pasta in Timonium has very good crab cakes. Any new restaurants in Catonsville area you can recommend? We sometimes make our way to Double T Diner, been there forever. Enjoy. Shel!!

They are delicious and definitely worth the price. Don't like the ones made with mayo - yuck!! Love the roux and panco bread crumbs. They are more than just an ""ordinary"" crab cake. If you like the mayo ones than probably will be comparing them to these but they are not meant to be the same type of crab cake.

Hi Shelbelle nice to meet you and Sunshine45 too. If you're in the area you may want to check out Duesenberg's Great breakfast/brunch or Thai Amora in Ellicott City and the old stand by for crab cakes G & M's. Have a Great week and stay safe with all the ice, sleet and snow Marty Bass is calling for.

Thanks for the reviews ... I was tempted to try them ... but I, too, thought that $9 each for a 3 oz. "bite" was overpriced ... I have been buying the fresh crab cakes made by the chefs at our local Giant Eagle in their prepared foods department ... I will stick with those ...

Do any of you Marylanders have a place or places that you can recommend for ordering crabcakes? I would rather pay more and get the quality. TIA.

We used to wait in line and go to G and M all the time back in the 90's, but then my DH decided he did not like their salad or bread, and refuses to go there now. He does like Olive Grove around the corner. And, just an FYI, Marty Bass knows zilch about the weather!!!
