Bigger KitcheAid food processor

I am about to make the jump from my small Kitchenaid food processor to a bigger one....am almost committed to the one with the french fry attachment.....as we all like fries....but am I losing out by not getting the newer model for a few dollars more (the one that has blade depth adjustment from the outside of the unit)? It doesn't have a blade to cut fries and that is important but reviews seem to say that the other model leaks liquids. Any advice? THANKS.
