Stock is better tasting than broth.  Broth is meat and a small amount of veggies.

Stock is made from bones, meat and veggies.  It tastes better has has more nutrition.  It is more like what you would make at home.

I use Better than Boullion chicken or beef also.  It ended up being a staple in my pantry.

It's handy but doesn't it contain a lot of salt?

Yes, and sugar too.

@Nightowlz   It's a big one cause I got a big family.  I'm bad at liquid measure.  It yielded three of the size large won ton soup containers.

Sams are a good size but if your bird is smaller, just use less water 🤷‍♀️or two smaller chickens

You must be using a large stock pot. I was thinking you were using like a crockpot? I have a large stock pot.

I think my crockpot would be too small.

I usually end up with about 3 cups chicken from a Wal-Mart Rotisserie chicken.

i use better than bouillon everything.....so many different ones to try, but the chicken, beef, ham, garlic, lobster, and vegetable are staples in my home. i have a bunch of others also.

i have been buying them since the QVC 50 in 50 tour. that was where it was "discovered."

Yes, I know that's not what was asked, and no it isn't for everybody, but: Buy two rotisserie chickens.  Take the meat from one to eat, freeze the meat from the other one for quick meals later, and toss the bones and skin in some water, boil for an hour or more, pour off the broth, put in fridge and skim off fat.

You have wonderful broth and a lot of chicken meat already cooked for $10. Best bargain, easy to toss the leftovers out too.

If you want, toss that limp carrot and the remainders of an onion or two in the broth as it cooks.  Cleans the fridge out as well!

i do this also.....and i STILL add the better than bouillon to it  to take it up a notch. also great when you have the leftover turkey bones!

i often use it and dont add as much salt to the actual dish. it may not be for everyone if you are worried about salt intake. they do make a reduced sodium version also.

I didn't think they made crock pots in a 10 qt.

I used to have an 8 qt pressure cooker until it stopped working.

DH is gone so trying to get he floors mopped. Now I have to wait for them to dry before moving on.

Thank you.
