I cannot believe how beautiful this new HOLIDAY set of dinnerware is! I had my daughter order it instantly (gift for me) and cannot wait to receive it. Collecting holiday Temp-tations is a hobby of mine, and I will proudly add this to my growing collection. My kids tell me I shouldn't, but who listens to their kids?😂

I agree. I am tempted by the Holiday pattern. Not sure if I will bite though. I have so much TT dinnerware already and not a lot of space to store/grab it.

I feel your pain.😊 When I fall out of favor with a particular set or dish, it goes in the donation box. I regularly take inventory of cookware, housewares, clothing, etc. Because I am an organizational neat freak, it makes it easy for me to indulge my passion-SHOPPING.😁

Not a fan of any of the recent holiday offerings.
When you compare them to the patterns of the past, including cardinal, holly and even those back as far as stary night and the seemingly abandoned poinsettia, she has completely moved away from anything that is elegant or traditional. Everything looks like it is made for use with young children.
Too bad she doesn't do elegant holiday anymore, but it sure has saved me a lot of money the last couple of years.

Elegant dinnerware is always nice. I have holiday dinnerware tablescapes for every holiday and everyday holiday dinnerware. This will be my EVERYDAY Christmas holiday set. My elegant Christmas tablescape is the Lenox gold trimmed traditional set, with matching napkin rings, salt & pepper shakers, flatware etc, that I have had for years and love. My current harvest tablescape is Temp-tations from .several years ago.

@Mominohio - I agree with you; I prefer elegance in my holiday dinnerware. I do like this set that Tara debuted this year, where the overall pattern is more sophisticated and there's just a touch of Temp-tations design:
But then I found this Lenox set that is quite similar (though at a much higher price) and thought it likely that the pieces would be better crafted and painted:
I've been trying to find a place to view the Lenox design in person to see just how much taupe/grey is in the pattern, but no luck so far, so the set is just sitting in my Wish List for now. Fortunately, I still have a nice set of Corelle Winter Holly plates that I love, so I'm in no hurry to splurge on a whole new set. We'll see...

Tara's set doesn't have coffee mugs so I'd pay more for the Lenox set in order to get a complete set.

@AuntG - And we never, ever use mugs, so that's one of the reasons the Lenox set is not an automatic "yes" for the higher price. ![]()
