on the food channel.  Just curious what other think of this concept.  I have and will not watch because it my opinion it sends the message that they are extremely hard up for new material and chef's.  And I find it silly to compete with a dead person.

I haven't heard of the show but the obvious question: how can they compete with her if she's dead?  I suppose Jacques Pepin could stand-in for her.

@ValuSkr  I'm assuming they show her cooking whatever it is they are cooking using clips from the tv show she had.

The show is called The Julia Child Challenge.  They are not competing against Julia.  The cooks complete againist each other in challenges inspired by Julia Child's life.  The winner gets to study at the Le Corden Bleu for 3 months.

Reminds me of that movie Julie and Julia. The part of movie I liked best was when they showed Julia's life and how she became a chef. The scenes w/ her husband were fabulous. Smiley Happy Of course, I pretty much love anything Meryl Streep does.

@kate2357 My favorite part of the movie was when Julie's husband started singing Lobster Killer to the tune of Pyscho Killer!

@Imaoldhippie  I've watched a few episodes of The Julia Child Challenge, and I just can't seem to get into it. Although, watching them whisk, whisk, whisk on the souffles was interesting (and tiring!). I do really like Chef Antonia.

I really liked that movie as I, too, love anything Meryl Streep does.   My only complaint was that I kind of wished it was ONLY about Julia and her husband (also really like Tucci!).

I do like the other two actors that did the 'Julie' part of it, but I would have loved to just see a Julia bio pic.

Looking forward to seeing this new production about Julia and her husband.  I saw Bebe Neuwirth and David Hyde Pierce (both of whom I really like!) on GMA this morning.  They are both in the show with DHP playing Julia's husband.  It premieres tomorrow on HBO Max.

She also is on a program I get called Create. She gets on my nerves, she practically stands over the bowl, while she's not the cne doing the baking, I want people to push her away. She also is constantly touching the food, or feeling it. I keep waiting for someone to tell her "back off"!!
