Re: Bad “pork”🤮🤮🤮

It happened to me some years back. I tossed it in the trash immediately and brought the receipt back to the store. They didn't require me to return the spoiled meat.

Re: Bad “pork”🤮🤮🤮

The dates on any products that require refrigeration are only as useful as the care taken with those products as they are moved from the warehouses to the storage areas in the stores and then onto the counters.  I haven't bought any meat recently, but I have changed the store where I buy milk because several times mine went bad sooner than usual.

Same thing happened with me. Bought pork chops from Kroger and on a Sunday evening opened them and they were baaaaaaad. They were well within the usable date on the package so I was a bit surprised...and had no fallback plan for supper that night. Grrrrrr. Since then I always get up close and personal with my chops and sniff them right, left and center. Ha!!! Although I will say if they're really bad you're gonna know it about the time you open the package.😲

@homedecor1

There is currently a huge pork recall of cooked pork and products that contain pork.

Update:  Took back to store today -- When the CS clerk opened them she went "omg something's bad in here!"  No kidding, Had told her "you're gonna gag".

She called meat mgr to desk.  I was issued a gc for store (no refunds) he looked at unopened package and said "I'm pulling the rest".

I thought they cut & packaged meats (like our Publix) these are prepackaged and shipped from distributor  he told me.

Just glad we didn't eat them🙂

@homedecor1    You never know but what another customer chose that package, changed her mind and just left it somewhere in the store where it sat unrefrigerated for hours or overnight until an employee stuck it back in the meat case.  Same could happen to frozen dinners or veggies.
