Has anyone made Bacon Jam??  I want to make Martha Stewart's slow cooker recipe (maybe just 1/2 recipe).  Having a friend come to stay and thought it would be lovely for breakfast on English Muffins.  Any comments?

Though not Marthas recipe, I have been making this for years, with caramelized onions- it is fabulous on a grilled cheese sandwich,  sausages, burgers  or hot dogs, with cornbread, or as a condiment for meats, or a cheese platter..

though it IS called "jam" I have never had it on an English Muffin for breakfast...

I also make a caramelized onion balsamic cherry tomato jam that i use the same way...

Oh Mothertrucker, they both sound fantastic!

Would you mind posting the recipes for both?

I'm praying you don't have to can them....as I don't can!

TIA!  I would really appreciate it!

Thank you so much for this post!

I have never made it before so I can't address your question but wanted to thank you for this thread.

I was able to google it easily and would love to give it a try.  As I don't can, the idea of making this in a slow cooker is perfect for me!

I purchase Bacon Spread (jam) at Costco.  It is delicious to add a little kick to a grilled cheese also good in salad dressing.  It is a local product (Skillet brand) so I am not sure every Costco has it.
