"...on occasion"
"...in moderation"
It's obvious we know we're taking a chance.
Just like Joey said on 'Friends',
"If you're gonna do something wrong, do it right."
Cheap canned soup, freezer tots, philly cheese?
If I was going do something once in a while or in a blue moon, I would make it the BEST quality, BEST tasting, BEST everything since it's rare. The Holy Grail of Bad. Again, if doing it wrong, do it right.
If anything, throw that grease down the drain!
Oh wait, that clogs your drain.
Hummm....food for thought.

You "health food" people can go back to eating your low or no fat foods, dangerous sugar substitutes, fake salt, tasteless foods, and leave us alone!! Not everyone has health issues!!

@sidsmom I appreciate your input as you have been very generous in terms of helping people improve their life and their eating habits.
But people must know that many of us on these boards are above a certain age that we realize that eating something that is high in fat is maybe not the best decision but occasionally (as many people have noted) it's a nice treat.
I know for those that adhere to a low-fat, perhaps high fiber diet that live a much more healthier lifestyle on a daily basis but occasionally those of us that would like to have something that is not in the realm . . . well . . . it's kind of tasty.
I think we all know this is not something that is consumed on even a remotely regular basis. It is just something that sometimes folks would like to jump into the higher fat pool.
Again @sidsmom I always appreciate your input as clearly good health is incredibly important to you and you live your life like this on a daily basis.
And for those that stop by to mock and lecture those of us that perhaps would ike to partake in an occasional higher fat dish, please feel free to go find someone else's bowl of Cheerios to take a whiz in . . . ![]()

And I've met more than one food police that are not healthy or thin. Got to love people who tell you what to eat on an anonymous chat board.
I'm not a tater tot fan, but I bet it'd be just as good with hash browns.

Collie, it's a shame that folks like that get their pleasure from trying to dictate diet rules on everyone. Eat a hot dog, for goodness sake!

Preds, it actually does need more bacon. 4 chopped rashers weren't enough to flavor the whole dish.

Thanks for the shoutout!
My post didn't say 'not eat it'...in fact it implied to go for it!
Just use the Quality of Quality ingredients if it's 'occasional'...really make it an event! ![]()
If one eats this way occasionally (operative word), chances are their 'palate' is a little more sophisticated & canned soup, grocery store creamed cheese & discount store tater tots wouldn't be items revered for that occasional treat. I'm just basing this on my experience with my foodie friends. "If your gonna do wrong, do it right." That's all I'm saying.
Happy Healthy Holidays!
