Buying no more nonstick or plastics.  Have kept a couple Green pans for eggs. I have resurrected my vintage  Farberware stainless pots and pans and I found I really liked using them. Then have added other vintage ss found on ebay. Shine them up with Barkeepers Friend, shine like new. Kept my Lodge cast iron. Those with the ss brown so much better than non stick.  And after awhile, all nonstick sticks. Replacing plastic with glass. Lately I found that  QVC does offer ss but never features them. Still have some very old L& L still in the pantry.  Still good but the new ones, not so much. I do like  L & L glass.  These will last a very long time.

I have also been using more glass than plastic and I use stainless steel pots & pans everyday now.  They are easy to use and look beautiful when cleaned up.

Am a fan of All-Clad cookware. I am on their mailing list for Seconds, which tyipically look like new. The stainless steel cooks and cleans like a dream. I wish QVC sold it.

Thank you for the Barkeeper's Friend tip!

I also rely upon my ancient Farberware and Lodge cast iron. And that's the only cookware I have. I've tossed everything else.

The handles keep wiggling off the Farberware however. Keep needing to screw them back on. I'm afraid the ancient Farberware's days may be numbered.

I'm also trying to free myself from plastic. But I have a couple L&L sets which I really love and would be loath to part with.

Otherwise I rely upon my mom's Pyrex bowls and bakeware from the 1950s and '60s. That stuff rocks.

Bought a couple of ceramic baking dishes from Target that looked a lot like Temptations. Alas, one recently cracked in the oven. Just like Temptations.

The new stuff just ain't like the old stuff.

I bought an all-Clad Stainless Steel frypan probably 25-30 years ago at Marshall's or TJ Maxx. It was $54 on sale, but is still like new. I tend to go cheap with nonstick stuff and replace it once it shows signs of wear. I just got a $22 Farberware DiamondMax nonstick 12" frypan this month to replace my older one that was starting to lose its nonstick ability.

@ncmama ...........I still have my iron skillet I have had for 56 years.  It has taken some abuse too.  I used it over an open camp fire when I used to take my kids camping and using it almost daily in the kitchen.  Its still in perfect shape and fries the best potatoes ever.  I have gone back to using it more and more often lately over the non stick stuff.

I went away from nonstick some years ago.  Seems like I do all my meat in cast iron.  Still working on getting bottom as smooth as my mother's.  Takes a lot of years.

I have a Griswold cast iron fry pan somewhere. Too big and heavy for my needs.

I have switched over to all cast iron even for baking. I love the Kitchen HQ line at HSN.

I have everything in fry pans to a new griddle to pie pans to a small saucepan in the shape of a heart and my most recent purchase is a bundt pan.

I think the only thing I don't use cast iron for is my huge Blue Jean Chef sheet pan for roasting veggies and my Dura pan for spaghetti or other longer pastas.

@Laura14 I bought the HQ heart shaped pan I figured it was large enough for whatever beef roast I COULD AFFORD recently.I cooked a turkey breast the other day, and it turned out tasty.  I love the non-stick cast iron pieces. I never kept the old fashioned ones seasoned correctly.--lazy

For nonstick, I love Green Pan-- never stick-- and I usually just wipe out with paper towel.

I have a couple of Wolfgang Puck's ss pans. They are beautiful and can always clean up . But I do find things stick easier. Probably because I am inpatient.
