Barbarainnc, yes they have peanut butter ones! All kinds with peanuts, even has a snack bar that is just like "payday" bars! I also like the bars with caramel in them! The M&M's are really good.
Who does this?
Publix grocery stores in my area has the Atkins bars & dinners for BOGO's. I get the weekly ad emailed to me. I also live in FL. & Walmart's matches the other sale items no matter what store(Winn Dixie, CVS, Wal-greens, Publix, etc.) including BOGO's!

So what's the point of these bars? Meal replacement? The main thing to me would be high protein and I believe that was his purpose. Are they high protein?

I love the Atkins bars, especially the ones that are like Snickers & Mounds. Unfortunately, they don't like me. I react to the malitol that's used as a sweetener, it gives me really bad cramps. I always have a Quest bar with me when I'm out & around, I use it as a meal replacement.

There is one that tastes like a Clark bar.
I'm glad it gives me an upset tummy...I'm not tempted to overindulge!

An apple is not a meal replacement and the balance of fat/carbs/protein is better than many things you can get on the run. Some of us do not have the luxury of making every meal at home, we are on the run catching airplanes, dashing to meetings and balancing family and work. Hence Atkins bars.

The information is readily available on the Internet. Google Atkins cars and ingredients.

It's strange how when ever a subject like this comes up, people who know absolutely NOTHING about it, feel the need to jump in and display their ignorance. Like that garbage about ALL nutrition and protein bars being "candy bars". Could one be anymore ignorant of the subject? LOL Atkins are indeed high protein, low carb bars that can be used as meal replacements or snacks. They Atkins system is not LOW FAT, so the fat content is irrelevant. I guarantee there is far less fat in an Atkins bar than there is in bag of chips or slice of pizza or cheeseburger. Reaching for an Atkins (or other brand) is always a good choice. Also, the human body requires fat to function properly. I agree Atkins bars do taste good, better than some others that are on the market. You do have to read labels and newbies need to education themselves before they go out and buy bars because there are indeed some that really are just candy bars. It seems like every breakfast cereal comes in a "bar" format now and I cringe when I see people buy them because they aren't buying what they think they are buying. Zone bars don't taste as good as Atkins but they are high protein, low carb meal replacements. The HMR meal replacement program offers a bar that comes in various flavors and tastes great. It's meant to be a snack.

Depending on which ones you buy, they have snack bars which don't have huge protein amounts, low carb -- basically a snack bar or treat bar.
Then there are light snack or light meal bars, which are an in between. A little more protein, again low carb.
Then they have the actual meal bars. They have the most calories (anywhere from 200-up to about 250 I think) They have the highest amount of protein, usually 15g and up, low carb, higher fat content. They are easy to take with you if you need a quick bite.
They use net carbs because of subtracting fiber amounts and using sugar alcohols (sweeteners) instead of sugar.
I like some of the Atkins products more just for post workout or a snack. I don't use them for total meal replacements.

My favorite is the cranberry almond bar that's dipped in yogurt....only 150 calories I'm not a huge fan of chocolate, so even though I've tried the other bars, I now only get the one type......great for a breakfast substitution or snack.

I like these as a snack. (Oatmeal cinnamon baked square) 140 calories
