As Is Disappointment

Just need to vent a little . . . .

Found the 16 piece Old World dinnerware As-Is back before Thanksgiving. Ordered it in black to mix with an old set of plain black and white dishes. It arrived in perfect condition! I was very pleased, but wished I had ordered another set. I had been watching As-Is for quite a while and saw the set offered in black again.

Ordered and got a different experience this time. . . . . One of the small plates was broken, which isn't a deal-breaker. When I started looking at the other pieces, they were in good condition, but don't match the first set! The black is MUCH darker than my first set. All of the trim on the edge and in the middle is very thick. Hard to explain, but, on the first set, the brush strokes are much more fine. One of the large plates is missing some of the painting in the center. I haven't decided if I want to go to the trouble of returning or not. These dishes are used for everyday, but I wish they looked more like the first set. . . . I realize I ordered As-Is . . . .but, I was hoping for the same luck I had on the first set.

This will certainly make me think twice about ordering Temptations As-Is in the future.
