I know this has probably been talked about before, but if it has, I missed it!
DH is diabetic and I use Splenda for him as he seems to like this one the best. He uses it in his coffee all the time.
He should not eat baked goods but he is wanting things sweet to eat, so I try to bake him things occasionally and I am trying to use Splenda. So, of course, when I bake the items, I eat a little bit of it, too. I enjoy a little baked goody, I admit. And I can't get a regular baked item and eat that in front of him while he eats the Splenda one --- that would not be right!
Any how --- to get to the point. It seems like whenever I eat anything with Splenda, it upsets my stomach. Does anyone else have this problem? If so, what is a better, artificial sweetener that I might use in baking, etc. that might not cause this? I know some things do not work very well in baking.
Thanks very much!
