I don't feel like we've been given a clear answer regarding the tainted produce and I'm still afraid to eat anything that doesn't get cooked.
Am I alone in this?

I never stopped eating it. No issues.

I don't know why, because I usually err on the side of careful and nervous about these things....but, I just haven't even kept up on the news too well on this one. I don't use bagged, chopped up lettuce, for one...but I realize it may have been other products.
I continued to eat what I had when the warning came out (romaine and iceberg that had been bought well before the warnings started)...and I just bought new Romaine hearts in a package, the organic brand I always buy. I had a big salad yesterday with it. I have not Googled news on this lately, but when I did a week ago...romaine hearts were ok.
I have not bought new things like arugula in the plastic container, organic, I occasionally buy....but only b'cuz my grocery didn't have it the other day.
Honestly....I try so hard to eat healthy, buy good, clean products, local produce all summer, but lately I just cannot keep up with everything that's supposed to make us sick or being recalled everytime we open up the news!! Sigh. It's exhausting.
So far, so good. I've eaten salads in restaurants lately too.

@house_cat I am right there with you. Have not eaten one piece of lettuce singe this happened and i was acustomed to eating salad several times a week and other sliced up raw veggies. I miss it so much. Our state is still reporting new cases every week and has said it is most likely from multiple sources not just the lettuce from taylor farms.

The only advice that was clear was to avoid Taylor Farms shredded lettuce. I have continued to eat other lettuce salads with no problem.

@house_cat I can just say ditto to @webbgarner1 's post. I was a big fan of a nearby fresh salad bar takeout restaurant and the salad bar at two groceries in my neighborhood. Can't bring myself to do that right now.
I do buy Little Leaf brand lettuce for sandwiches because I've researched and feel safe because it's hydroponic. But that's it. I hate this, but I'd hate explosive diarrhea more.

Never missed a day in having my nightly salad. Just bought another big bag yesterday at Walmart.

I am avoiding all bagged lettuce as well as berries and other produce linked to the parasite. I just don't think it is worth playing Russian Roulette with your body. People are still getting sick and frankly, I don't think we have been given good enough answers on this particular outbreak.
Taylor Farms is a huge conglomerate and goes by a lot of names. Lots of my friends were not aware that Trader Joe's gets their salads from them. They also provide to Sysco who is a main supplier to restaurants. So no salads for me unless I know exactly where the produce has been sourced from.
i am eating from local farms and hydroponically grown producers (like Gotham Greens).
You cannot wash this parasite off. Only heat kills it.

I'm avoiding until given the all clear. I eat salads daily and miss it terribly.
Not worth the chance getting sick from Cyclosporiasis.
