@Mombo1  Apple crisp is also my favorite Fall dessert.

It sounds like you make it the same way that I do.

It is a Betty Crocker recipe that I have been using

the 1960's. It is my family's favorite dessert.

That topping is so delicious, like a sugar cookie.

It is best warm with vanilla ice cream.

When it is cold, after refrigeration, I like it

                     topped with whipped cream.

@Enufstuff   I'm not sure how long I have had this recipe.  My mother in law used to make it back in the 70's.  Funny that you would mention the ice cream.  My granddaughter's birthday is Sunday.  She always requests a confetti cake....but this year she wanted an apple crisp too.  A phone call came this morning to remind me to please get some vanilla ice cream.  So the baking begins today.  The house is going to smell so good.  🤗

@Mombo1   Happy birthday to your grand daughter.

She is so lucky to get her favorite cake and

                  apple crisp.

I have some apples and was thinking of making    the apple crisp this week. It does smell heavenly when it's baking.

When I was ten years old, my aunt gave me my first cookbook. It is "Betty Crocker's Cook Book for Boys

and Girls. That is where my apple crisp recipe came from.

I still have that cook book.
