Apple Chips

Can these be made in the oven? Or does one need a food dehydrator? I have a warming oven, I was hoping I could put the slices in there for the necessary time. I'm missing my favorite apple chips from the Farmer's Market.....

And will they be crispy? I've heard that if not cooked long enough, they're chewy and I like them crisp....

Any info. would be appreciated.....
