Anyone tried using a steam canner???

I just received the one (Back to Basics) Q sells, and I'm not certain if I just misread the write-up, but I assumed you could 'can' with it. The book (and customer services at BtoB) says fruit only - HUH?

I bought it to can my VEGGIES - and the write up says "put up your garden goodies" - well, guess what - my garden goodies are veggies.

I'm trying to decide if to send it back ($$$$$) or keep it, just for tomatoes (those are ok due to acid content!). It's K130776.

What do you think? I wish they would have included that little tidbit in the write up.
