Re: Anyone Watching the Next Food Network Star?

I am so totally over this show...it no longer serves any purpose... Very few go on to any type of "stardom", though I like many of the past winners....it has become ridiculous, and somewhat self-serving, in my opinion...Every time the Cowboy had a bad show, they overlooked it...how can they justify this anymore?

I voted for Luca last night. True, many do not go on to be "stars" but look what happened to Guy Fieri. There's always a chance.

Re: Anyone Watching the Next Food Network Star?

I am watching it, but get the feeling the judges knew who they wanted from the beginning. Why bring Luca back except to stir some interest in the show. I think he will be the winner because of his looks, accent and charm. Italian is in right now (I know it's never really out) and the FN could use a boost. I don't know if he or the cowboy would play to a larger audience, but it will be one of them for sure.

Alton Brown doesn't look well and I wonder if he has been battling some health issues. He definitely has become a bit of a curmudgeon. Curious to know if this is his new role at FN. Bobby Flay used to be the bad guy.

The judges all seem to have a sense of self importance and they do drive me crazy, but I like cooking shows, so I still watch.

I was happy to see Sara go...she was so stuck on herself. Besides, Giada already has the "stuck on herself" category filled to the max. None of the remaining three screams "winner" to me, but I narrowed it down and voted for Luca.

Luca, I hope he takes us back home and shows us Italy. Side note, Giada's dress was cut to low in front.

I think the judges are favoring the Texas blonde because in the challenges she seems to be getting off easy. The Cowboy seems to be getting ripped in the challenges, IMO.

I think the judges all seem bored and tired. OR... Maybe it's just me who's bored and tired of the same ol' schtick...! Funny how many of us don't really have a buy-in on anyone in particular. I'm rooting for Luca because he's the best lookin' of the bunch!

Shogirl... The Texas blonde was eliminated last night. It's down to the Cowboy, Coastal Girl and Luca.

It just didn't make sense yo bring Luca back if he wasn't going to "" go somewhere""...that was SOME Remediation they gave him!he is like a whole new person!
