Any Tips For Making Croissants ?

I simply cannot find a decent croissant around here so I have decided to make my own, which will be my first attempt.

I have obtainted a recipe to make, but want to ask if anyone has a tried & true great recipe I can make.

And....any 'tips' that I should pay heed to before I give it a go would be helpful!
