Angel Biscuits

1 package of active dry yeast

4 Tablespoon warm water

5 cups all purpose flour

2/3 c sugar

1 Tablespoon baking powder

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 cup shortening

2 cup buttermilk

Dissolve the yeast in the water. Sift the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, baking soda together. Cut in the shortening. Stir in the yeast mixture and buttermilk. Mix well and refrigerate overnight. The next day, roll out on a floured board and cut into biscuits. Brush with melted butter. Let rise for several hours. Bake at 400* for 10-15 minutes or until light golden brown. Note: Dough will keep in the refrigerator for 5 days. Biscuits freeze well. They should be partially cooked before freezing.

Yum! I may make these for Easter to serve with thinly sliced ham. They sound divine, Barbarainnc!

It is really easy to make but the time required to make it is really long as it is required to keep it overnight and its hard for me to wait for such a long time. So is there not any other solution for it.
