If you are a prime member does EVERYTHING ship for free?

I wanted to order several things a few weeks ago and the products were about $60.00 and the shipping was $25.00 so I cancelled the order.

Only Amazon products ship free with Prime. Third party vendors still charge their own shipping rates. You can shop around on Amazon and find the same product at a dozen different prices, depending on the vendor. Prime purchases are often more expensive than from a third party seller who charges shipping so you have to check carefully if the price is the main priority (rather than second day shipping).

@HAPPY Elizabeth

I am not a member of Prime but I have returned a couple of items and was charged a restocking fee. I don't know why.

I was fortunate that my Prime renewal was last month at the $79 price so I got in under the wire. I have almost a year to decide if I will renew at the higher price.

Amazon's restocking fee policy:

+ Any unopened media item or non-media item in original condition that is returned more than 30 days after delivery: 80% of item's price.
+ Any book that has obvious signs of use: 50% of item's price.
Any CD, DVD, VHS tape, software, video game, cassette tape, or vinyl record that has been opened (taken out of its plastic wrap): 50% of item's price.
+ Any item that is not in its original condition, is damaged, or is missing parts for reasons not due to our error: up to 50% of item's price.

I've never been charged a restocking fee. One time, I received the wrong item and requested an exchange. They said to keep the item with their compliments and they'd just send another. It was only about $10, so I can understand them not wanting the hassle and expense of a return (when the error was their fault) but I appreciated the effort.

Absolutely! Between free shipping and streaming, it's well worth it. Not to mention the super quick delivery of items.

I loved it in the beginning (right after holidays) but now find most of the merchandise I buy is marked up for the shipping For example I was about to order a pair of sneakers from the Q - they were $44 + $7 shipping Amazon same shoe was $52. Since I live less than 20 miles from Q warehouse I usually get things in 2 to three days. So the 2 day shipping isn't an incentive. Plus the one time I had to return something to Amazon it was a pain.

I'll have to look into the pantry you guys are talking about though.... haven't seen or used that. I normally buy from drugstore.com but Amazon may be more reasonable.
