Up until recently, I had to drive miles and miles to get to an Aldi. Now, I have two in my area. Another one just opened two weeks ago.
Today, I paid a visit to the new one. I picked up some little cheese fingers wrapped with ham. I ate several before I got home!
The middle aisle was not wiped out and the store was busy. I picked up a little stuffed animal that you can microwave and use for heat therapy. Very cute!
I am thawing my Aldi turkey breast, but was in the mood for making a quiche. Never know what you will find at Aldi's!

flicker, I saw the stuffed animals in the middle aisle yesterday. I was reading the description, and this kid asked his Mom "Why would you cook that?"
What are the cheese fingers? They sound delectable!

I'm with HonnyBrown, in what section of the store would you find these cheese fingers? They sound great!

Hubby and I are down in FL for winter and LOVE Aldi's back home. Easy to get to, sometimes a small wait but overall just fine. Here in FL the one Aldi's we have is so crowded you can barely maneuver your cart thru the store. It's absolutely nuts in there so we've had to stop going. It gets dangerous as the employees are always stocking shelves so everyone has to try and side-step them, the place is loaded with people and no one can even stop and look at anything. Just quickly roll thru the aisle, grab what you are familiar with and keep on trucking! Lately we've found Save-a-Lot to be a pretty decent store, they usually need major cleaning but carry a great deal of good items. So, for us no more Aldi's until we get back north.

It was on the back wall in the refrigerated section near the specialty cheeses and meats. There was also a cranberry/cheese ball thingy nearby that looked good.
They are proscuitto and mozzarella sticks. Yum, I just ate another one!

LOL at cooking the animal! I got a blue owl and I am going to "cook" him before bed tonight! Poor guy!

For those that purchased the Aldi's standing rib roast, I hope you enjoy yours as much as I will be enjoying mine . . . since I couldn'y seem to go back to sleep this morning I decided to get started waaaaaaaaaaaay early but I have to say for the money this is one beautiful roast . . . half cut off the bone for those that would like to remove the bone before roasting but convenient for those of us that would prefer the bone in during roasting . . . delicious piece of beef and again I hope you enjoy yours as much as I have mine!

Anna, the ones in FL sound like the ones in my neighborhood: small and cramped. That's why I go on Saturday mornings.
We went to visit my parents over the weekend. My Mom took me to 2 Aldi's so I could look for the robot vacuum. When she found out that Aldi's had them for $70 and they are normally $600, she was going to make sure I found one!
Anyway, those Aldi's were spread out, well lit, plenty of room in the ailes and similar to a regular grocery store. That's probably what you are used to.

Proscuitto and mozzarella...wow!
If I eat any more ham this month, I'm growing a snout.

mtc!!!!! How was it?
Our Christmas was very low key since we went to my parents' for the weekend. I made his annual steak. I got a NY Strip from Aldi's. He said it was tender and had great flavor. I made myself a vegetable frittata.
Mom made a Christmas ham, also from Aldi's. Dad and hubby were low key on the ham, so Mom gave me a huge piece to take home.
