I always shop Aldi's but recently I cannot do it anymore.
I was wondering if anyone here uses it and how much more does it cost.
TIA

I've never used Instacart, but I know some Aldi locations offer curbside pickup if that helps.

I used it the other day. There was a $3.99 charge plus at least a $2.00 tip. (You could give a bigger tip if you chose to.)

I guess it depends on what state you are in...I'm in CT, have used Instacart off and on since March...with all the added fees, generally cost me about $15.00-$20.00 more including tip. I've started going to Fresh Market only in my town...smaller store, first thing in the morniing no one is there but maybe 3 other people. But my big grocery...I'm still getting Instacart until this thing is over. I miss being able to shop myself, how I want to, comparison shop, go to the meat counter etc...but not going to do it yet. The grocery store I'm referring to here, before COVID was always too packed, very busy store...I don't see how they'd social distance in there now. Sigh. is what it is...for now.

I have an Instacart membership so as long as my order is over $35 I get it free. I shop at Aldi through this app d recommend it.

Thanks for the info. I am going to try it soon, I'll let you know how I do.
I am handicapped and can no longer drive and no one I can depend on for help.
My husband died last year and we always shopped together. I probably could just order once every 3 or 4 weeks.

Oh Bettyboop33! I'm so sorry your husband died. My husband goes shopping with me a lot too (i think it's a vacation from the kids lol) so I can't even imagine. Please take care.

I joined Instacart specifically to do Aldi pickup and it went beautifully for minimal additional cost. However, since you would be doing delivery it will cost a bit more. I guess you will have delivery fee plus tip. Some prices a bit higher on pickup than instore cost. Since Aldi prices are reasonable, it probably will be competitive with going to other stores. The App is not too confusing.
I feel for your situation and wish I had more suggestions. If you have neighbors who go to Wal-Mart, you could ask them to do a grocery pickup for you there. Have to arrange ahead but no added fees or tips with $35 minimum. I have never shopped as much at Wal-Mart as I have in last 5 months. Good luck.

We have Wegmans here- very large chain store-- I really miss doing my own shopping but you do what you have to under these circumstances- Wegmans' Instacart does "curbside" service- which doesn't cost extra- (I do note the prices are higher online and that many times they will show items that you end up NOT getting (very annoying) You have "pick-up" times which is also hit or miss- If I put something ie 5-6 and the shopper shops when the store opens- they "store" it for you and sometimes my frozen items have shown to be not correct- INSTACART is VERY good for the refunding though on mistakes. Instacart is at most stores here- except the delivery charges sometimes add an EXTRA $20 ---- so that's a no-go for us. We get in the car and wear our masks- open the trunk and they bring it out and put it in. That's just the way we have to hope we get what we ordered. For some really stupid reason- Our area STILL can't get antibacterial wipes, or lysol products (sprays) etc- but our kid in Texas which has a much higher rate of infection- has had them all along! Every so often we're limited to everyday things like limit 1 dozen eggs!!. Or 1 gallon milk!! (corporate greed? maybe)

From reading comments it appears price varies by area. Go ahead and download app to get info or google instacart at Aldi in your area. That's how I got started. In my area its Aldi employees that prepare pickups but I imagine Instacart employees do delivery since there is tipping involved.
