I'm sure you could but I think it would fly around.  I don't think it would work too good.  I have not tried it though.

I would imagine the heaviness of the fatty texture would keep it from moving as it cooks.  A friend of mine does bacon in hers all the time.

I haven't tried it, but read where it was done.

@Moeduck I tried it and wasn't happy with the results.  I used thicker cut bacon and had to keep adjusting the bacon as the air flow kept moving it around.  Maybe I should have left it alone to cook on its own but to be honest as much as I love my air fryer I will never make bacon in there again.

I just tried it yesterday and wouldn't do it again -- I prefer my countertop convection oven to do bacon.  It didn't cook evenly and it's the first time I had a smoke filled house using the air fryer!

I would not make it in the air fryer. That would make a greasy mess. It will smoke a lot & your smoke detector will go off.

We tried hamburgers in it & that's what happened. We did add some water to the bottom of the pan like Meredith said to do with foods with grease to keep the smoke down.

Put a piece of parchment paper or tinfoil on a jelly roll pan & make some in the oven.

I have a cheap AF e-book and the author suggest not cooking bacon in the AF because not only is smoke from the fat a concern, but with most AFs, there is no way to clean the blades and there is a potential fire risk....

Yes you can cook bacon in your fryer.  I made a mesh cover to use in my fryer basket to keep spatters from entering the fan/heating element so I place my bacon in the basket, cover with my splatter shield and heat at 370 ish for 7 minutes, then check.  You can either lay the bacon out in the basket or do as I prefer and kind of swirl in a rossette, as I prefer my bacon not crisp all the way.

I wouldn't go there. I'm sorry, but I can't help but think that's a fire just waiting to happen.

I do bacon either in the microwave or, if I'm doing a lot, I use the oven.

AIr fryer? Man, that's scary.
