I'm interested in purchasing an air fryer.  Can anyone recommend a reliable brand?  It doesn't have to be from the Q. Thank you.

@qbetzforreal  Have never heard of an unreliable air fryer.  They all do the same **main** thing air fry.  

I have a Ninja that not only does the **main** thing but also roasts, reheats & dehydrates.

I rarely use mine to air fry.  I mostly bake potatoes on the roasting setting because it only takes 1 hour for it to come out fluffy.

I am going to give it away by the end of year as I prefer to eat **real fried foods** fried in grease in an old school cast iron frying pan.  I am healthy & don't have to deprive myself on what foods I love to eat.

I have a Ninja Crispy.  It does a great job but I love it because I don't have to store it on the counter.  It's basically glass bowls with the motor that goes on the top.  Easy to store in a cabinet.

I was hesitant for years about buying an air fryer......then one day I was watching HSN & saw the demonstration for a Ninja Pro 4-in-1 5 qt air fryer with tongs/recipes.  It's very simple to operate....3 buttons....a power button, increase/decrease temperature button & an increase/decrease timer button....that's it!!  I love that it's not round....hate that style.  This one is a soften-square shape...check it out....😉

Just a note: air fryers are just small convection ovens. It has a fan to blow the hot air to surround the food. It causes it to cook faster, more evenly. High heat and dry air creates crispy exteriors.

There are larger ones out there now than when first on the market. Some have glass containers that I find interesting for easy clean up and storage. If i was purchasing, that is attractive to me. Ninja Crispi comes to mind but are pricey. Great reviews.

I also am attracted to the kind that look like toaster ovens.  Ovens but include a basket. Cuisinart and Ninjahave high ranking models.

Ive seen air fryers from 39.00 to 400.00, quite the range.

You may want to figure out features that are important to you and then research/inquire from there to narrow down choices. What you want to cook ( snacks vs full on roast chickens/meals), separate areas to cook different things at same time. the space you have to use it, the budget, even color if you have a preference.

There are probably a hundred to chose from.

At least 10 years ago we bought an air fryer and never used it.  About a year ago we bought a small Breville countertop oven and we use it a lot.

Mostly we just use our big convection oven anyway.

My oven has the convection option but I find that by the time the oven heats to the desired temperature what I want to cook would be done in the air fryer so unless it is something too large for the air fryer the air fryer wins.

The smaller size is what makes the air fryer more efficient.

Mine is the Ninja Foodi Air Fryer, 7 Qt MegaZone, 6-in-1.

I have a very small  2-qt air fryer to make one serving for me. Brand is Cosori, top-rated on amazon.  Small footprint on my small countertop.
