For my early birthday present which isn't until Tuesday, my daughter gifted me with a 4 quart Air Fryer!  The manuel has no recipes in it, I made french fries in it last night for supper when she was here.  Any good ideas for my new Air Fryer is welcomed.

I like Barely Breaded chicken breasts or nuggets when I want a quick meal. The Internet has a ton of recipes. Steaks turn out well if you can afford them in this economy😁

Enjoy it! We love our steaks and burgers in it, and breaded fish filets for sandwiches, love our veggies cooked in it: broccoli, asparagus, carrots and cauliflower . . . so fast and easy!

Something I use all the time is from Lotteli.com, they make a magnetic cheat sheet with the cooking times and temps, I keep it on the side of the fridge. It was on the Today Show and is such a huge help to me.

The air fryer is just a cooking method and doesn't require special recipes.  Most of the foods you regularily prepared can be cooked in an air fryer rather than the oven or frying pan.  I do find it necessary to add a little fat in the form of a spritz of oil to dry foods as the fan dries out many things.

I love to air fry broccoli florets....I mix florets (remove long stems) with olive oil, garlic powder, sea salt & black pepper together.  Preheat AF to 380 for 3 minutes.  Place florests in a single layer in basket.  AF 4 min at the same temp then shake basket or turn them over using tongs then continue air frying for another 4 min or longer depending on your browning preference.  Plus you can find all kinds of AF recipes on line.  I've cooked deer cutlets, chicken breasts, cod fillets, etc.

Yes---meatballs are a must!!! home made or already made, fresh or frozen--they turn out amazing!!! I cook mine at 360* for about 6 minutes---and shake them around half way thru--test them and maybe will need to add a few more minutes. always use a few less than the stated time---sometimes the recipes time is off--rather have to add more time than to over cook anything. Hope you enjoy your new toy--I LOVE mine and use it alot. Frozen things do very well in an airfryer. Have cooked salmon in it and veggies are great.

I just realized who you are---can I ask about your daughter?

Thank you for the ideas to use it for, my husband is vegetarian now since his doctor suggested it for his neuropothy and leg cramps galore, and since then no more cramps and it worked wonders for him. Last night he made tofu in it, breaded, and it turned out better than when he fried it.

Wagirl, Darla has about two or three more chemo sessions left and then she should start feeling better. Her hair is growing back slowly but still too short so she still wears wigs. She's a long haired gal.  Thanks for asking!

Just wondering if I would open up a frozen veggie  bag that you steam in the microwave, if that would work in the air fryer. Anyone do that?

I use my air fryer every day for steaks, pork chops, baked potatoes, chicken tenders, french fries, tater tots, pot pies, Stouffers entrees, biscuits, grilled cheese, burritos, etc.   I heat vegetables in the air fryer, but not in the bag.
