Does anyone have an AirFryer,and do you like it?Is it easy to use? And does it brown the food.

@jagk, I have 2 actually, Emeril's and the digital Power XL that Eric Theiss promotes. I prefer the digital model, it works beautifully.  I cook almost everything in it, steaks, salmon, pork chops, veggies, cauliflower tots etc..  I absolutely love mine and highly recommend them!

I have a cooks essentials.  I like it a lot.  I could probably use it more than I do.

I have two of them -- the 5.3 qt Cook's Essentials at home and bought the smaller PowerXL one for my camper.  I love them!  Use them several times a week everything from hot dogs to chicken, fries, pizza.

I don't use it but my BF does to make chicken wings. No more frying!

@jagk I'm glad you started his thread. I don't have an airfryer and I am thinking about buying one. However there is just my husband and I and we don't fry much. Hubby says to get it. But I don't want another appliance that only takes up space.

We use ours quite a bit. Wings, stuffed mushrooms, fries, sweet potato fries, etc. I've done frittatas that turned out quite well. several different kinds of shrimp, pork chops, chicken thighs. I have Meredith Lawrence's cookbook and have tried the Cauliflower with Lemon Dressing, Stuffed Tomatoes, Hasselback Potatoes, etc. I have also tried various online air fryer recipes....some worked out, others, well, not so much.

 

There's a learning curve; I don't know anybody who made absolutely perfect French fries on the first try (although I'm sure somebody has, of course). I think you need to experiment with an air fryer. It took me a while to get the knack of "baking" a little chocolate cake that suited me.

 

That being said, we do like ours. I probably use it a couple times a week and I like playing around with recipes for it.

I love mine.  I have a smaller Cook's Essential and a larger Phillips.  If I used them for toasted cheese sandwiches it would be worth it.  No soggy greasy bread now.  I like both frozen and my own cut french fries.  Fried chicken is so juicy and grease free also.  If anyone is getting one I would suggest to look for one with a ceramic basket as that would be so much easier to clean.

We have two.  One is the TSV from PowerPro that QVC sold, and the second is the same maker in the 5.3 size.  They're probably the most used appliances in the kitchen.  The above poster was right when she said that there's a learning curve.  You'll have to learn which times/temps suit your tastes.  The smaller size is good for cookiing for one....sometimes two depending on what you're making.

I want one of these that is big enough to cook a whole chicken in.  Anyone know what size I would need to get for that?
