Re: Air Fryer vs Instant Pot

I have both a 3.8 at and a 5.3 qt. The 5.3 qt has a marginally bigger footprint than the the smaller one. My counter space is at a premium and I have no trouble finding a spot for it. The smaller, in my opinion, is fine is you plan on using it to replace a deeep fryer or for one person. The appeal of the air fryer for me is that it puts off very little heat. I bought it when I lived in an apartment with a galley kitchen and no central AC. Just turning on a burner to make a grilled cheese sandwich heated up the whole house. The 5.3 qt is a better size to prepare an actual meal. I can cook 2 burgers and fries for 2 people or 2 salmon steaks and some roasted vegetables. The smaller one is too small for that.

@RollTide2008: I really appreciate your help and information. I was thinking a bigger size would be necessary. Southern Bee

Re: Air Fryer vs Instant Pot

I am waiting and hoping for QVC to offer the Ninja Foodi. It's a pressure cooker and air fryer combined. Check out Youtube. It looks totally awesome. Sam's Club has it and  Amazon will have it starting October 8, but I am trying to hold out for QVC to offer it.
