I was gifted an air fryer. I see on some blogs people use a liner - probably made of partchment paper. Is it something I should get? Thanks for your help.

YES @mare54   Buy some parchment paper.  I'm sure you can get by without it but there will be more cleanup.  DH toasts bagels without any kind of lining.

eta...oh, enjoy!  Lucky you to have been given one.  That was very nice Smiley Happy

I have a Ninja,Air Fryer 10qt 6 in 1 Dual Zone Smart  XL Air Fryer.. I don't use parchment unless a recipe would require it. I put the basket and plate in the dishwasher. It comes out clean. I know you will enjoy the convenience and taste. You may have to experiment on time frames for various foods. Enjoy

You don't have to have parchment paper. But I do use it sometimes when I cook Salmon. But not when I'm cooking fries or chicken nuggets.

I just read in Southern Living that you should not place either parchment or alumnium foil in your air fryer and toaster ovens, but that's just their opinion.

I have never used in mine.  Dishwasher takes care of  any mess.

I didn't know they even had liners for the air fryer until recently.  I was watching a video for a recipe as saw her using them.

Have never used a liner, clean up is easy so I don't want to make more trash...I make more than my share because of the cats!

I use my air fryer every day and these papers are great.  Be sure to get the correct size.

I think it would be a good idea--I have some and use them alot. It does make clean up easier. I have a 6qt Instant Pot arifryer that I LOVE that is square. I use them to re- heat things, for frozen things like french fries, also roasting veggies. Just don't put them in until after you pre heat as they will burn. I know that may sound silly, but DD did that. she kind of freaked a little---didn't burst into flames or anything--just left a burned ring---buy the ones that match the shape of your machine---I have round ones too--they don't work as well as mine is square.

My air fryer is a feature on my Ninja Foodie XL Grill.  I don't use any kind of liner or parchment paper in mine.  IMO, the paper would block the holes in my basket and prevent the hot air from circulating and hitting the food properly.
