Just got a new Ninja Air Fryer with two pull out drawers.

Question:  Are air fryer's noisy?  This one is quite loud and it was something I wasn't expecting.  Doesn't have to be silent, but would like it more quiet.

Any insight about this, or maybe just this brand?

TIA

@Sunshine Kate  With 2 drawers, your air fryer probably has 2 fans operating.  Can't you just use one drawer at a time?

I have this air fryer.  It isn't loud, IMO.  Sure you can hear the blowers, but it isn't any louder than any other air fryer have ever owned... a Power XL and a Phillips.

Maybe yours is defective??

I have a smaller & larger air fryer. The larger air fryer has more watts so it is noisy. The smaller air fryer is not noisy.

In general, air fryers are a tick less noisy than a hair dryer since they're enclosed in a shell. But the hair dryer analogy is a pretty good one as they're essentially just a super-heated hairdryer. If yours is louder than a hairdryer, then something could be wrong with it. And like a hair dryer, the design of the individual air fryer will vary the sound of the air fryer. One with a faster, more powerful fan will be louder than one with a slower, less powerful fan. They all make some noise, and are obviously louder than a "normal" oven with no moving parts, but if yours is louder than a hair dryer it might have an issue.

I'm thinking it could be defective also.  Thanks for the input.

I didn't think about that, wanted one with two drawers though.  Maybe I should have done more research on an air fryer.  Thanks

Never thought about one being noisy.

Now I'm glad I've never bought one. Cat Wink

I have a Ninja dual drawer air fryer and don't think it's any louder than the exhaust fan over my stove.
