@Pooky1  Wishing you the best results on your MRI. Smiley Happy

We bought half a Kirkland's ham for Easter, and it won't last long.  I fry it or make sandwiches.  Apparently, when DH went to Costco to buy it, only halves were left.  I wanted a whole so it could be sliced and frozen for later use.

Re: APRIL 2017 is here for What's Cooking

need to get something to eat but am not really hungry - had a great bowl of chili cheese fries - with onions of course - at lunch. Am still a tad full from that. Davey and his Mother had junk food tonight- no way. The little girl is here as I have to take her in early tomorrow for a shot. Need to talk to Sherry as I think she is letting her eat whenever, etc. She had GREAT eating habits. That needs to stay - also heard she was often taking Leah over to her Friends house each day - nope, cannot do that. She needs to spend most of the day with her brother - so very important - and also she needs to maintain regular eating/sleeping habits. I think Sherry's friend does not do that but first must find out if indeed Leah is at the friend's house most of the time when I think Sherry has both kids - I suspect that may be correct. Oh my, but life gets complicated.

Leah needs a new car seat - she has outgrown the one she has and now needs one similar to her "big brother". they do grow up fast do they not?

Nice day today - hope all had a great day and yes, I still have some of that yummy ham - sure makes great sandwiches.

I had leftover asparagus and cooked Yukon gold potatoes, so made a fritatta with the asparagus, spinach and guyere cheese, and sliced the potatoes into very small chips by holding the peeled potato and with a paring knife slicing as I turned the potato so pieces were similar but not exactly the same, just as my Mother used to do, then fried them in butter until very crisp, DH also had French bread toasted.  I ate the potatoes with some cheese on top, and DH ate everything else. Re: APRIL 2017 is here for What's Cooking

Shame on me - did not have a regular dinner last night. Was way too tired. Shannon fixed something for the kiddies and she and Davey - I cleaned up the mess. Angel, a friend of Shannon's was here also for a spell. Shannon took her home and have not seen her since. Oh well. I will NOT wake up the kiddies to take Davey to school - he can walk or get a ride. He is on my very bad list anyway due to his behavior - AGAIN - yesterday after school. That young man really needs to get his act together.

May toss a roast in the slow cooker with some veggies later on. I do hope, however, to get some help with the kiddies - yesterday was tough.

Hope one and all have a great day - thanks for getting us started Preds.

I need to get in shape so I can reclaim my kitchen. LOL. Bought a huge pizza yesterday at Aldi;s and was planning to fix it for dinner - I love those things from there - HUGE and inexpensive and delicious. Had to run an errand after bringing the pizza home and when I returned from that, there was a burnt pizza sitting on the stove. Grrrr. Little kids gummed it and they were not happy, I could not chew it and everything was burned. Of course Davey ate it but he had to battle it - kind of funny in a weird way. I saw Shannon eating cookies. LOL.

Got very hot here yesterday - more of the same for today and tomorrow I guess. For sure, summer is approaching. Right now, however, I did turn the heater on for a few minutes just to get the chill out of the house. One thing about Sou Cal, It can get to 120 without batting an eye, so to speak, but almost always you can count on the early mornings always being a tad chilly. I like that quite frankly. But then the heat revs up later in the day.

Hope one and all have a great day - Maybe today I will toss a roast in the slow cooker.

Just checked and saw that 95 is expected today. Nope, not quite ready for that warm a heat yet. LOL. Sigh.
