If I want to use the "slow cooker" selection, is it on high or low, not sure how it works. I want to cook something for about 3 hours. It's just a dump cake recipe using a slow cooker. Can you help me please.

Your manual should give you the temperatures for the Hi & Low settings.

If this is for K41143. I looked through the manual & did not see where it said low or high. Just says it has 30 min increments of time up to 9 or 9 1/2 hrs. If you go to the product page & click on view all questions & answers under all the pics of the pressure cooker the question was asked but was answered with 5 different answers.? The question about the slow cooker is on page 12. One answer said it is an adjustable option which is a push button on the digital control area on top of pressure cooker.

It shows a SLOW COOK button on the front of the unit. Another one I looked at had the buttons on the top and it had a SLOW COOK button.

I have recently purchased a pressure cooker from the Q. Now I need a cookbook to give me direction. I would like recipes or some recipes where meat is cooked from frozen in the pressure cooker listed in the cookbook, Any suggestion on which cookbook is the best to help me with my pressure cooker?

I'm a fan of Bob Warden's "Great Food Fast". Besides the recipes, It has a handy table in the back of the book for cooking various foods with time, temperature, amount of liquid and quick or natural release for both fresh & frozen proteins. I bought it from Amazon.
Another one recommended by others is Miss Vickie's Pressure Cooker Cookbook. I believe she also has a website with recipes and tips.

The reviews for Miss Vickie's books say that they're geared toward stovetop pressure cookers, not electric pressure cookers. I love Hip Pressure Cooking (and her website). I also got Meredith's first pressure cooker cookbook but still need to cook out of it. Going to make beef short ribs and mushroom risotto this week! ![]()

On the Miss Vickie website, all of her recipes are free downloads and are easilly adaptable to any brand of electric pressure cookers.
