5 Easy Air Fryer Chicken Wing Recipes

[ Edited ]

#1 - Baked Buffalo Wings - Most popular

Buffalo chicken wings may be one of the most popular chicken wings ever.

Of course, finding a good recipe is not always easy, especially because, in an air fryer, these chicken wings are prepared without oil. With this recipe you’ll achieve the taste of Buffalo chicken wings at home, in no time.

  • Chicken wings
  • Self-raising flour
  • ½ cup Frank’s Hot Sauce
  • ½ cup butter
  • 1 tsp salt

  • First, preheat your air fryer to 350°F
  • Then, take your chicken wings and cut the tip off. Since you don’t need that, you can freely discard it.
  • Also, we suggest you to make two pieces by cutting at the center joint.
  • Now that you’ve done that, put the chicken wings in a medium/large bowl and coat them with flour and salt.
  • Next, transfer the chicken wings to the basket of your air fryer and shake very well. Now, place the basket in the air fryer on 350°F for 25 minutes. It’s important to shake the chicken wings every 5 minutes.
  • Notice that it takes them 25 minutes to become golden brown, though, you can keep them inside for a little longer if you want your chicken wings really crispy.
  • Finally, make the sauce. Simply, melt the butter on medium heat and mix with the Frank’s Hot Sauce.
  • Remove the chicken wings from the basket and into a large bowl. Pour the sauce over the chicken wings and give them a good mix.
  • Of course, serve them on a plate with Blue Cheese dressing and celery sticks to complete the taste.

#2 - Honey Barbecue Chicken Wings - This is My Favorite !

Honey BBQ chicken wings are flavorful, crispy and juicy. Of course, they’re easy to make and we promise you that everyone will love them. These chicken wings are special and different because of honey. The sweet and salty combination makes the taste supreme. Here’s how to make them at home.

  • Chicken wings
  • Salt & pepper
  • ½ cup of flour
  • BBQ sauce of your choice
  • Honey
  • Preheat the air fryer to 350°F.
  • Cut the chicken wings into three pieces. Again, discard the tip of the wings.
  • Place them in a blow and mix with flour, salt and pepper. Of course, to make sure they’re well coated, give them a good mix.
  • Place the chicken wings in the basket of your air fryer and cook for 8 minutes.
  • Shake the basket and cook for another 5 minutes at 400°F to achieve the crispiness.
  • Mix the bbq sauce with honey and paint the wings with a cooking brush. Cook for 5 more minutes at 350°F.
  • Give the chicken wings a good shake and coat them with the sauce again. Now cook them for 3 minutes.

#3 - Marinated Chicken Wings

  • Another delicious recipe to try if you’re craving crispy and mildly spicy chicken wings.

  • Add the chicken wings to the mixture and let them marinate for about 30-60 minutes.
  • Put the chicken wings in a basket and set the timer of your air fryer to 12 minutes.
  • Now shake the basket to allow the chicken wings to cook from all sides. Also, set the timer to another 8 minutes.
  • Remove the chicken wings from the basket and serve on a plate.

@Skididdy

The Dry Rub recipe is for 14 wings. The more you put in there the longer it will take to turn them all to get them crispy. I like them crispy.

I did notice most of the recipes don't say how many they are cooking.

I saw one picture where they stuck them upright on the cooking rack that some air fryers come with.

I coat everything with olive oil first and either cook almost done first then brush with bbq sauce few more minutes.

spices have to stick to something so olive oil is the best

Re: 5 Easy Air Fryer Chicken Wing Recipes

Oh gosh @Nightowlz

Now I am dying for wings and an Air Fryer!

No problemo...I live in Buffalo.

BTW- any tavern/restaurant in Buffalo would have to close their doors if they ever put flour on the wings before frying!  LOL  Just ain't done!  Blasphemy!  Ha ha!

That's probably my favortie. A little olive oil with spices than add the bbq sauce. I also like them crispy without the bbq sauce.
