Re: 24 hour Cooking Event Down South......

They are selling the Phillips air fryer for 199 with free shipping. I have always wanted one. Does anyone here have this and like it?? Thanks.

Re: 24 hour Cooking Event Down South......

I had hsn on, on the second tuner, on my bedroom tv and every time I woke up during the night (which, as usual, was many times) I saw the same stuff. I think, throughout the night I saw four items - those green boxes (rip), their value of the day, Lorena's ugly pans, and there was one other thing but I cannot remember it now. D'oh! Rough night. Smiley Happy

I noticed on one of the shows that it said 'previously recorded' so they must do a little bit like SHQ with some of the overnight shows. Actually, I think that's a good idea and it would save a LOT of money in production costs. I'm surprised they don't all do that. Maybe not the entire night, like SHQ. I think they re-play shows from 11pm to 5 or 6 am.

I've really enjoyed watching Chefs Lorena Garcia and Ming Tsai. Debbie Meyer and her ""green boxes"" - not so much...

The thing I love about HSN cooking days is they don't do hour long presentations of Keurig, Vitamix, and KitchenAid. It's more fun to watch than QVC's "infomercials".

I agree, the hour-long infomercials are deadly.

Re: 24 hour Cooking Event Down South......

Bought the nuwave PIC about a year ago and use it almost exclusively rather than my stovetop. This and my toaster oven solve just about everything. Have one of Ming's skillets and love it. Looking forward to buying a whole set soon so everything is induction capable. Very intrigued by Lorena's large electric skillet and may buy that for larger casserole or baked things that don't fit in my toaster oven.

In this hour, QVC has shown three different items so far and hsn is still presenting the same item they started with at the top of the hour. Smiley Happy

Most of the shows I saw overnight had one item for 30 minutes and one more item for the second 30 minutes of the hour.

I would agree, however, about having one item presented for a whole hour. That gets boring fast!

Re: 24 hour Cooking Event Down South......

I ordered the Nu Wave Today's Special in graphite. I have wanted one for a while as you can use cast iron on it (and I can't on my glass top stove). The price seemed good and it came with the case. As an added plus, I don't have to pay tax in my state for HSN purchases like I have to do for QVC. Looking forward to getting it and giving it a try.

I think the oven they showed is more like the Fagor (which I have) than the NuWave as its glass and uses halogen- LOVE mine!

I also have the Nu Wave induction burner and highly recommend it too-

Enjoying the show!

Has anyone tried Donatella Arpaya's meatballs?
