First--kind of a funny--I order my groceries either from Amz Fresh or from Instacart, have for many years. I made a small order a few days ago, and ordered 2 single tomatoes--just 2-----and got 3.2 pounds!!!!! which was 9 of the little beasties----and was charged almost $12. But I did get my $$ back. Now what do I do with that many toms as they are not the best --time of year, you know. Made salsa which is ok.

Next--and this one really burns my toast. I ordered Curtis Stones breaded hake fish from HSN--which, by the way, is from Rastellis---anyway Stupid UPS put them in the refer section of the parcel room, but after it closed at 6 pm--it was about 6:30 when I got the notice. The office opens at 9 --am really curious what shape this item is in and really ticked off at UPS----Usually I get frozen stuff delivered to  my door or when the office is open and I can go get it right away. Good grief!!!

Re: 2 things to chat about---

I order on line for pickup at a local grocery store.  I've learned that you have to be careful ordering things that are priced "each" such as with bananas.   I never order more than 2 or 3 because I don't want 6 pounds of bananas.

I am convinced that the person picking the order just looks at the product name not the size and grabs the first one they see.  One time I got a box of cereal that was so big it didn't fit on the shelf.

Also, the reason I don't use delivery is because I live on the 3rd floor and they just ring the bell and drop it inside the front door.

We don't have access to those services where I live.  Usually the only food orders I get delivered are my specialty teas, canned goods or spices.

I have observed those employees shopping for stuff for delivery they appear like they really don't care and throw stuff in the cart. Just my observation.

That is too bad about the fish. I am sure your money will be refunded.

Tomatoes-have no idea.

The good news is that the fish is just fine. But found out that particular UPS driver has a key to let himself in after the office closes. Would LOVE to find out a name tho---jerk!

@Susan345 --I don't have a car anymore and also live on the 2nd floor, so lugging groceries up stairs is not what I do. Am finding that more often than not, it's the guy shoppers that don't seem to know what in the h#ll they should be looking at regarding produce---have had to report awful produce so many times. And yes, you have to spell it out for them--which I do all the time. So am now going to take away tip $$. You can do that using Instacart--not sure about AMZ Fresh. Once I ordered 1 pound of beets--so maybe 3 beets to a pound---OMG---I got 5 lbs of beets!!!! Was actually hilarious but I did complain and got $$ back

Re: 2 things to chat about---

I had a funny ordering experience.  I ordered a turkey and provolone sub.  I checked off that I wanted to add tomato.  In the "notes" I wrote "nothing on the bread" because I wanted to use my own mustard.  Well -- they took me literally.  I got a sub -- with tomato.  That's it!  Funny now -- annoying then.

I'll just go to the store as long as I'm able. That's the only time I get out.
