Sort of interesting that with all the outrageously priced stuff in this world, it's a HAM that stirs up such an uproar.

I think some of you who have never worked in the food industry get confused alot on prices. It cost to produce theses thing, many people have to work to prepar this and labor is not cheap any more, when the quality is good you have to pay a price for it. I am so surprise to see how many negative comments on the price when you have to figure the cost to produce this item. The farmer wanted a good price for his hog.

KC hams are hit or miss, last year the ham I ordered was 70.00 dollars and was delicious. This year the ham was very salty, no one would eat it, thank goodness the Q refunded my money.

Ridiculous is in the eye of the beholder.  Think it's too expensive?  Don't buy it.

Simple as that.

I don't know how ANYTHING  food related is sent thru the slow mails. Q area is socked with bad weather getting anything in or out of there would be a miracle then figure in all the states the food item has to pass thru.

No way would I try to order  and pay high prices for any of that stuff.

Would probably sit in 'processing' for a week to begin with then another

week to get to you.  EWWWW

Any time I’ve ordered food from QVC, it ships right from the manufacturer not from a QVC warehouse. I work in Westerville, OH near Cheryl’s cookies. The packaging they use for QVC orders is different than their in house packaging. I regularly see those packages being prepped to go out.

Plus any food items that require refrigeration (like a ham), are shipped via UPS 2-Day service. So you'll get it two days after it ships. Won't take a week in transit to get to you.

I am in West Virginia, and for $160 I can buy the whole hog from a local farmer, and have 2 hams, 2 shoulders, bacon, and a lot of sausage.

There will never be a day I pay $160 for just a ham.
